Transferring Your Pilot Rank

If you’ve previously flown with another virtual airline, Virtual Air Canada allows you to transfer your experience and rank to our airline.

How to Request a Rank Transfer

Log in to the Pilot Portal

Access your VACA Pilot Portal account at links.canadava.com/pilot-portal

Navigate to Preferences

  1. Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner
  2. Select My Profile from the dropdown menu
  3. Go to the Preferences section

Apply for Rank Transfer

Look for the Apply for Rank Transfer option in the Preferences section

Submit Your Evidence

  1. Provide a link to your previous VA profile showing your rank and flight hours
  2. Alternatively, upload a screenshot of your pilot profile from your previous virtual airline
  3. Include any additional information that might support your application

Rank Transfer Policy

Important LimitationsThe highest rank that can be transferred to Virtual Air Canada is First Officer.Captain, Senior Captain, and other higher ranks cannot be transferred and must be earned through service with VACA.

Processing Time

Rank transfer requests are typically processed within 24 hours. You’ll receive a notification when your request has been reviewed.
