# Security & Dangerous Goods

This section outlines the standard procedures for security and dangerous goods handling at Virtual Air Canada Airline.

## Security Threat Levels

Virtual Air Canada Airline operates under a three-tier security threat level system:

| Level      | Description       | Required Actions                                             |
| ---------- | ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Green**  | Normal operations | Standard security procedures                                 |
| **Yellow** | Elevated risk     | Enhanced vigilance, additional security checks               |
| **Red**    | High risk         | Maximum security measures, possible operational restrictions |

Yellow level procedures should be invoked for abusive passengers or any security concern.

## Cockpit Door Security

* The flight deck door must remain **locked** during flight
* Use the "**Door locked**" call after security checks
* Follow challenge/response visual ID procedures before opening
* Only authorized crew members are permitted in the flight deck
* At least one flight crew member must remain at the controls at all times

## Aircraft Security Checks

Security checks must be performed:

* At the beginning of each crew's first flight day
* Any time the aircraft has been left unattended
* When security threat level is Yellow or above
* When requested by ground security staff

Checks include inspection of:

* Lavatories
* Overhead bins
* Life vest compartments
* Galleys and service areas
* Flight deck

## Dangerous Goods (DG) Acceptance

### Permitted Items

### Forbidden Items

The following dangerous goods are **prohibited**:

* Lithium batteries greater than 160 Wh
* Oxygen generators
* Flammable liquids greater than 100 ml
* Explosive materials
* Compressed gas cylinders (except medical)
* Toxic substances

## Security Incident Response

In the event of a security incident:

1. Notify ATC using appropriate phraseology
2. Use security alert code if applicable
3. Consider diversion to nearest suitable airport
4. Follow company security response protocols
5. Complete detailed security incident report after landing

## IROP Security Procedures

During Irregular Operations (IROP):

* Maintain passenger manifests
* Ensure proper identification for all passengers
* Apply additional screening for unscheduled flights
* Document all security-related decisions

## Reporting Requirements

Security events must be reported to:

* Company Security Office
* Local airport authority
* Transportation Security Authority (as applicable)
* Law enforcement (if criminal activity suspected)

Reports should be factual and objective, avoiding speculative conclusions.
